Warranty Policy
2-Year Warranty Policy for BarzRenovate Introduction:
BarzRenovate is committed to providing high-quality renovation services and ensuring customer satisfaction.
This 2-year warranty policy outlines the terms and conditions of our warranty for various services offered by our company.
This policy aims to protect both our customers and our company from unforeseen circumstances and ensures that we stand behind our work.
Scope of Warranty:
This warranty policy applies to all services provided by BarzRenovate,
including but not limited to:
- Home Renovation
- Basement Renovation
- Kitchen Renovation
- Bathroom Renovation
- Flooring Services
- Painting Services
- Carpentry Services
- Masonry Services
- Handyman Services
Warranty Period:
The warranty period for all services is 2 years from the date of completion of the project, as specified in the contract agreement.
Warranty Coverage: During the warranty period, BarzRenovate will repair or replace any defective workmanship, free of charge, subject to the following conditions: Home Renovation: Defects in workmanship, including but not limited to, framing, drywall, finishing, and painting. Exclusions: Normal wear and tear, damage caused by natural disasters, pest infestation, or neglect. Defects in manufacturer’s products, such as windows, doors, and roofing materials, are not covered by this warranty as we only purchase the highest quality materials available.
Basement Renovation: Defects in workmanship, including but not limited to, waterproofing, insulation, and finishing. Exclusions: Water damage caused by external factors, such as flooding or poor drainage. Defects in manufacturer’s products, such as flooring and wall materials, are not covered by this warranty.
Kitchen Renovation: Defects in workmanship, including but not limited to, cabinetry, countertops, and finishing. Exclusions: Normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse or neglect. Defects in manufacturer’s products, such as appliances and fixtures, are not covered by this warranty.
Bathroom Renovation: Defects in workmanship, including but not limited to, tile installation, finishing, and waterproofing. Exclusions: Water damage caused by external factors, such as leaks or poor ventilation. Defects in manufacturer’s products, such as fixtures and flooring materials, are not covered by this warranty.
Flooring Services: Defects in workmanship, including but not limited to, installation and finishing. Exclusions: Normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse or neglect. Defects in manufacturer’s products, such as flooring materials, are not covered by this warranty.
Painting Services: Defects in workmanship, including but not limited to, application and finishing. Exclusions: Fading, discoloration, or damage caused by natural light or environmental factors. Defects in manufacturer’s products, such as paint and coatings, are not covered by this warranty.
Carpentry Services: Defects in workmanship, including but not limited to, construction, repair, and finishing. Exclusions: Normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse or neglect. Defects in manufacturer’s products, such as lumber and fasteners, are not covered by this warranty.
Masonry Services: Defects in workmanship, including but not limited to, construction, repair, and pointing. Exclusions: Damage caused by settlement, weathering, or user error. Defects in manufacturer’s products, such as bricks and mortar, are not covered by this warranty.
Handyman Services: Defects in workmanship, including but not limited to, repairs, maintenance, and installations. Exclusions: Normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse or neglect. Defects in manufacturer’s products, such as parts and supplies, are not covered by this warranty.
Exclusions: BarzRenovate does not cover damages caused by:
Leaks or water damage resulting from plumbing or roofing issues that were not performed by us.
Electrical short circuiting or other electrical issues that were not performed by us.
Any other issues that were not directly related to our workmanship or materials.
Additional Exclusion:
BarzRenovate is not responsible for any damages or issues that arise from work performed by other contractors or third parties after our completion of the project.
This includes, but is not limited to, any damage caused by subsequent construction, renovation, or repair work that may affect our original work. Definition of Normal Wear and Tear: For the purposes of this warranty, “normal wear and tear” includes, but is not limited to, the natural settling of a building or structure over time, including but not limited to, the compaction of soil or the shifting of foundations.
This means that if the ground beneath a building settles or shifts over time, causing minor cracks or movement in the structure, this is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered by this warranty.
Warranty Claim Procedure:
The customer must notify BarzRenovate in writing of any defects or issues within the warranty period. BarzRenovate will respond to the claim within 5 business days and schedule an inspection to assess the issue.
If the issue is deemed to be a defect in workmanship, BarzRenovate will repair or replace the affected area at no cost to the customer.
If the issue is deemed to be caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, or neglect, the customer will be responsible for the cost of repairs.
Dispute Resolution:
In the event of a dispute, a third-party investigator will be appointed to evaluate the issue and determine the responsible party.
The cost of hiring the investigator will be split equally between BarzRenovate and the customer.
However, if the investigator determines that one party is solely responsible for the issue, the responsible party will reimburse the other party for their share of the investigation costs.
Limitations and Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover damages caused by natural disasters, such as floods, earthquakes, or hurricanes.
This warranty does not cover damages caused by user error, misuse, or neglect. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, fading, or discoloration of materials.
This warranty does not cover any work or materials not provided by BarzRenovate.
This warranty does not cover any consequential damages, including but not limited to, loss of use, loss of income, or emotional distress.
Defects in manufacturer’s products are not covered by this warranty, as we only purchase the highest quality materials available.
Customers are advised to contact the manufacturer directly for any issues related to their products.
Warranty Transfer: This warranty is non-transferable and only applies to the original customer.
Governing Law:
This warranty policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario.
